Donald Trump for president

Cat:

In 2016, 63 million Americans voted for Donald J. Trump, a racist vulgarian, a failed businessman, and a gaudy reality-TV show host with zero political experience who appealed to racial anxieties and white resentment. He promised to “Make America Great Again” by building a wall and enacting a Muslim Ban. His presidency was a historic failure that resulted in two impeachments, multiple scandals, job losses, a rise in the debt and deficit, a misguided trade war, over 600,000 Americans dead from COVID-19, and international humiliation. This only meant that 11 million more Americans voted for him in 2020 than in 2016. White supremacy remains stubborn, persistent, and self-destructive until the end.
